Senator Josh Hawley of Missouri, member of the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, added protections against child trafficking to the Secure America Act. The legislation to fund the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) will include a “generational investment” that will employ hundreds of child exploitation investigators and forensic analysts.
Senator Hawley stated, “This will be a tremendous step forward to be able to do something very tangible and very immediate to help children who have been harmed in the worst possible way by the online world.”
